RiverHawks Sign Pitcher

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have signed a former Chicago White Sox farmhand.

The RiverHawks announced on Monday that they have signed pitcher Blake Drake. The White Sox took Drake out of Indiana State University in the 22nd round last season. Drake went 3-2 with a 4.39 earned-run average in 17 appearances with Great Falls of the Rookie-level Pioneer League. The right-hander struck out 16 and walked 11 in 26 2/3 innings.
