
RiverHawks Add Infielder Ceuvas

LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford RiverHawks have signed free-agent Justino Cuevas.
Cuevas, 23, was a member of the Washington Nationals organization from 2008 to 2011. Last season, Cuevas spent time with the rookie-class GCL Nationals, single-A Hagerstown Suns and the single-A Potomac Nationals.
The 5' 10", 160-pound infielder spend the beginning of 2012 with the London Rippers, playing in 31 games before becoming a free agent July 25. Cuevas was hitting .285 with eight doubles, three triples and 11 RBIs.
Defensivley, Cuevas is mainly a middle-infielder with a career fielding percentage of .930.
