Make-Up Dates for Fireworks Announced

Marion, IL - The Southern Illinois Miners announce the new make up dates for the re-scheduled fireworks. Tuesday August 7th, Saturday August 11th and Thursday August 16th will be the make-up days for fireworks.
Tuesday August 7th, which is a Two 4 Tuesday, will be Wrist Band Giveaway Sponsored by Heartland Regional Medical Center. Miners fans will also have the opportunity for two for one popcorn and buy one t-shirt and get another at 50% off.
Saturday August 11th, Guns and Hose Night sponsored by Golden Eagle. The Miners and Golden Eagle Distributing have partnered to create a scholarship fund for one firefighter's child and one police officer's child who is currently enrolled in college or who will be beginning college in the fall. 50% of the ticket proceeds will be donated and a portion of the Budweiser beer sales on this night will go to the scholarship fund. At 5:00 will be the annual firefighters vs. police softball game. Tickets for the game will be sold at $8.00 per ticket.
Thursday August 16th, which is an Extreme Theme Thursday, will be NFL Night sponsored by KFVS 12. Miners fans will get $2.00 off their ticket when they wear NFL gear. Miners fans will also have the opportunity to win NFL gear, autographs and tickets.
