O'FALLON, MO - Jon Myers led the Grizzlies offensive attack with two home runs in the first two innings and Gateway pounded the River City Rascals 12-3 Thursday night at T.R. Hughes Ballpark.

The first four batters in the game reached for Gateway (36-26). Jonathan Johnson and Antone DeJesus picked up singles and Jerod Yakubik was hit by a pitch. Jon Myers followed with a grand slam to left field to give the Grizzlies a 4-0 lead.
Johnson led off the second inning with a walk and advanced to second on a stolen base. He came around to score on an Antone DeJesus double to make it 5-0 Grizzlies. Myers smacked his second home run in as many innings, this time a two-run blast, to give the Grizzlies a seven-run advantage.
Gateway scored three more runs in the third inning to push their lead to double digits. Johnson brought home two runs with a triple and a River City (30-31) wild pitch helped the Grizzlies tack on another run.
Alex Kaminsky (6-4) picked up the win for the Grizzlies. He gave up just two runs on five hits in five innings. Kaminsky walked a season-high six batters and struck out three.
Every starter had at least one hit for Gateway while eight of the nine starters had at least one run.
