River Rats Sign Danick Bouchard To PTO

ALBANY, NY - The Albany River Rats announced today that they have signed right wing Danick Bouchard to a professional tryout contract, calling him up from the Florida Everblades of the ECHL.

Bouchard, 22, returns for his second career action with the Albany River Rats after making his professional debut with the team two years ago on April 8, 2007 at Hartford. The Quebec City, Quebec native is in his second pro season and ranks second on the Everblades in goals (13) and sixth in points (22) in 31 games played. Bouchard spent five seasons with the Shawinigan Cataractes of the QMJHL where he scored 197 points (114 goals, 83 assists) in 292 career junior games. During his final year of juniors (2006-07), Bouchard finished second overall in the entire QMJHL in goals (52) and was 13th in the league in points (97).

Bouchard is expected to be in the lineup Friday, January 9th as Albany travels to Massachusetts for a 7:05 pm face off with the Worcester Sharks at DCU Center. The River Rats next home game takes place on Saturday, January 17th at 7:00 pm against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Times Union Center.
