July 12, 2004 - International Hockey League 2 (IHL 2)
Missouri River Otters News Release

St. Charles, MO --- The Missouri River Otters of the United Hockey League are proud to announce that they will open the 2004-05 season on the road against the new Kansas City franchise on October 15, in what should be the start of a fierce inter-state rivalry!

The game will be the first of 16 match-ups between the two squads, the most meetings that either team will have against a UHL opponent during the season.

The Otters will defend their home ice at the Family Arena for this first time this season against Quad City on Saturday, October 23. This will be new head coach Kevin Kaminski's introduction to the hard hitting rivalry between the Otters and the Mallards, and it promises to be a war on ice!

All the River Otters home games are scheduled for one of four days; Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Of those days, the Otters play the most home match-ups on Saturday, with twelve games scheduled for that day. There are eleven games on the docket for Friday, ten on Wednesday, and seven set for a Sunday face-off.

The busiest month for the Otters is going to be February, as they are scheduled to play 16 games. January is the second most frenzied for the team, with 15 contests, followed by November, 12, December, 12, March, 12, October, 7, and April, 6.
