The Sacramento River Cats (63-39) beat the Fresno Grizzlies (41-60) 12-2 on Sunday at Raley Field in West Sacramento, Calif. RHP Justin Duchscherer (9-2) dominated on the mound for the Cats, allowing just 2 ER on 4 H in 8.0 IP. The River Cats out-hit Fresno 13-5, tagging RHP Brian Powell for 6 R (4 ER) on 5 H over the first three innings of the game. Powell (7-8) took the loss for the Grizzlies. Five River Cats batters had multi-hit nights, including RF Mike Edwards who went 2-for-4 (1 HR) with 2 R and 1 RBI.
With the win, Sacramento is now 9-3 against Fresno this season. The River Cats are 30-16 in 46 games at Raley Field.
