METAIRIE— Jermaine Clark hit a two run homer and Mike Lamb hit a three run homer in the second inning off of Zephyrs Pacific Coast League All-Star Doug Sessions (5-3) to help the Oklahoma RedHawks (53-48) sweep the New Orleans Zephyrs (52-50) 6 to 2 on Sunday Night at Zephyr Field in front of 6,675.

Zephyrs starter Doug Sessions started off shaky allowing six runs in the first two innings of the ballgame. Sessions retired the first two RedHawks with ease then loaded the bases with two outs, and allowed a base hit to Ramon Nivar to score the first run of the game. The Zephyrs answered in the bottom of the first when Henri Stanley, who led off with a double, scored on a fielder's choice off the bat of Alan Zinter. The top of the second proved to be the bump in the road for Zephyrs starter Doug Sessions. The RedHawks mustered six hits and five runs in the top of the second including homers by Mike Lamb and Jermaine Clark. That proved to be all the comfort the RedHawks pitching would need. Dan Murray (5-7) picked up the win allowing one run on six hits over five innings. Tom Graham and Reynoldo Garcia both pitched two innings a piece combining to allow only one run on three hits. Jermaine Clark went 2-4 with a homerun and two RBI to lead the RedHawks. Kyle Logan went 2-4 for the Zephyrs in the losing cause and hit his second homerun of the season.

The Zephyrs journey on a 12 game roadtrip making stops in Albuquerque, Oklahoma City, and Colorado Springs. The Z's return home on Saturday August 2 with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05. Local favorite The Topcats will perform a post game concert. All home an away games can be heard on WTIX-AM 690 and at www.zephyrsbaseball.com with Tim Grubbs and calling the action.
