Sacramento River Cats News Release
WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Looking to hang on to first place in the entire Pacific Coast League, the River Cats begin a seven-game homestand on June 27, during which fans will enjoy exciting promotions including Bark in the Ballpark, Olympic Night, Forever Green: The 100th Anniversary of the Girl Scouts presented by Esurance, Firefighter Day, and an Independence Celebration presented by U.S. Army. The River Cats will host the Salt Lake Bees (Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim) June 27-29 and the Colorado Springs Sky Sox (Triple-A affiliate of the Colorado Rockies) June 30-July 3. All active and retired military personnel will receive discounted tickets at Raley Field's Round Table Pizza Ticket Office for the games on July 2nd and 3rd with a valid military ID.
Bark in the Ballpark - Wednesday, June 27
Spend a night at the ballpark with your favorite pooch! Bring your pup to Raley Field for a pre-game dog parade on the field beginning at 6:10 as well as a costume contest! Dog treats and water will be provided for dogs in the exclusive dog area on the Home Run Hill.
Olympic Night - Friday, June 29
You don't need to head to London this summer to see Olympic athletes. The River Cats are hosting Olympians and Paralympians from the Sacramento area. Prior to the game, there will be a march of champions around the field and a pre-game chalk talk with the Olympians, who will also greet fans at the gates and sign autographs.
Forever Green: The 100th Anniversary of the Girl Scouts presented by Esurance- Saturday, June 30
The River Cats are going green to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Girl Scouts. Lucky fans will walk home with a box of their favorite Girl Scout cookies. Support our Girl Scouts and get "going green" tips throughout the game. The first 2,500 fans through the gates will also receive a free evergreen seedling.
Firefighter Day - Sunday, July 1
It's going to be a hot one at Raley Field as we honor our local firefighters with fire engine displays and firefighters in uniform. Cheer on your favorite firefighter and stay after the game as these firefighters take the field in their own baseball game!
Independence Celebration - Tuesday, July 3
The River Cats are offering a special All-American BBQ ticket package, which includes a pregame BBQ beginning at 5 p.m. - which includes tri tip, hamburgers, Raley Field hot dogs, three sides and one drink ticket -- and a Senate ticket to the game. Adult tickets cost $36 while children 10 and under cost $32. The first 2,500 fans at the ballpark will also receive an American flag presented by U.S. Army as the River Cats continue their tradition of kicking off the Fourth of July holiday with a Sutter Health Fireworks Extravaganza!
The homestand will also include the following recurring promotions: Monday Seniors Eat Free and Baseball Bingo presented by Cache Creek Casino Resort, Kids Eat Free Tuesdays presented by California Family Fitness, Miller Lite Thirsty Thursday with $2 Miller and Miller Lite beers throughout the ballpark and music in the Jackson Rancheria Home Run Terrace, Toyota Family Value Fridays with $1 hot dogs and $1 desserts and U.S. Bank Sunday Funday with pregame autographs and the opportunity for kids to run the bases postgame.
