
First Place Aces Open Seven-Game Homestand

RENO, Nev.- The first-place Reno Aces return home Wednesday night for a seven-game homestand, which will feature two nights of fireworks, an Independence Day celebration, a garden gnome giveaway, beer specials and $1 ribs.
The homestand kicks off with an Aces WINSday and the arrival of the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants. If the Aces win Wednesday night, fans can redeem their ticket at any of the concession stands for a free hot dog during one of the remaining six games of the homestand.
Fans can enjoy $2 beer specials through the middle of the fifth inning on Thursday night for Coors Light Thirsty Thursday(tm) presented by ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and Reno News & Review. The game will be televised on my21 TV.
Friday's game will include the first of two fireworks shows of the homestand for Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4.
Saturday's game will feature the Garden Gnome Giveaway presented by KOLO 8 News Now, as the Aces invite the Las Vegas 51s to town for a four-game series in the resumption of the Silver State Diamond Challenge. The game will also be televised on my21 TV.
Sunday will be highlighted by the Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday. Fans can play baseball bingo for the chance to win an autograph mini bat, and one lucky fan will win a game-worn jersey just by participating. Lucky fans age 12 and younger will be eligible for the Dillard's Youth Jersey Giveaway upon entrance.
Kids will be invited to run the bases after the Friday, Saturday and Sunday games.
Fans will be treated to $1 ribs, while supplies last, throughout Monday night's game as part of Om-Nom-Nomdays presented by KTVN Channel 2 News.
Tuesday night's game will feature the Independence Day Celebration & Fireworks Spectacular presented by KTVN Channel 2 News and K-Bull 98.1 FM. Join the Aces to celebrate America's birthday as the team hosts their biggest fireworks show of the year.
Throughout the homestand, deserving members of the community will be honored with once-in-a-lifetime experiences, as the Aces present Reno Aces Foundation Dream Week.
First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. each game except Sunday (1:05 p.m.) and Tuesday (6:35 p.m.).
