West Sacramento, Calif. - The Sacramento River Cats defeated the Portland Beavers, 2-1, at Raley Field on Sunday in the final game between the two teams this season. Six and seven-hole hitters Jeremy Brown and John Baker led the Sacramento offense, each driving in one of the Cats only two runs of the day. Baker hit his third home run of the season to right center field in the 2nd inning. Right-hander Santiago Casilla earned his second win of the season throwing 2 perfect innings of relief of Cats starter Victor Moreno, who allowed one run in 6.0 innings and took the no-decision. The Sacramento bullpen (Casilla for 2.0 IP, Ron Flores for 1.0 IP), retired all 9 Portland batters they faced.
