Sacramento River Cats News Release
The Sacramento River Cats (51-28) beat the Omaha Royals (39-40) 4-2 on Monday at Raley Field. RHP Justin Duchscherer (6-2) earned the win, allowing just 2 ER on 5 H in 8.0 IP. RHP Jeremy Fikac earned his second save, as he pitched a scoreless ninth inning. RHP Ryan Baerlocher (2-3) of Omaha was charged with the loss, as he allowed 4 ER on 6 H in 6.0 IP. 2B Jose Flores and 3B Luis Lopez led the Cats' offense with 2 H each.
With the victory, Sacramento improved to 23 games above .500, and the Cats improved to 24-11 in 35 games at Raley Field. The River Cats are now three games ahead of second-place Las Vegas in the PCL South (Las Vegas' game at Salt Lake was postponed).
