FRISCO, Texas - Four Riders pitchers combined for 14 strikeouts in a 3-1 loss to Corpus Christi Monday night.

SYNOPSIS

* Each of the four Riders arms recorded at least three strikeouts, including four each from Edgar Arredondo and Demarcus Evans.

* Andretty Cordero whacked a solo homer in the second to build a 1-0 lead for the Riders before the Hooks finished with three unanswered runs.

* Rehabber Hunter Pence went 0-for-3 with two strikeouts to begin his stint with the Riders.

KEY RIDERS PERFORMERS

* Demarcus Evans: 2 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 4 K

* Edgar Arredondo: 4 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K

* Andretty Cordero: 1-for-3, HR, RBI

NEWS AND NOTES

* Evans has struck out 23 of the first 54 batters he's faced with the Riders, good for a strikeout rate of 43%.

* Charles Leblanc pushed his hitting streak to six games with a ninth-inning single.
