Riders Return Favor & Blank Travs Friday

North Little Rock, AR - A night after shutting out Frisco 2-0, the RoughRiders returned the favor on the Arkansas Travelers with a 3-0 win on Friday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.

RHP Connor Sadzeck (W, 7-2) worked six innings and allowed three hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.

LHP Joe Filomeno pitched a hitless seventh and RHP John Fasola (S, 1) earned his first save for the 'Riders with two scoreless innings to finish the game.

Arkansas starter RHP Victor Alcantara (L, 2-6) pitched 5.1 innings and allowed the three runs on nine hits with a walk and four strikeouts.

LHP Chris O'Grady, who pitched for the Travs in 2015, returned from Triple-A Salt Lake and worked 1.2 scoreless innings after Alcantara. RHP Eduardo Paredes only needed seven pitches to get through a 1-2-3 eighth and RHP Keynan Middleton made his Double-A debut and tossed a scoreless ninth.

Frisco scored a run in the first on a CF Ryan Cordell RBI single and two in the sixth thanks to two-run 3B Edwin Garcia single.

Arkansas finished 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position and is 1-for-14 in the series.

The Travs were held without a hit after the fourth inning.

With the loss, the Travs fell to 34-43 on the season and 2-5 in the second half. The two teams will play the rubber game of the three-game series on Saturday night at Dickey-Stephens Park. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m.
