
Riders' July Fourth Weekend Crowds Set Record

FRISCO, TEXAS (July 6, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders, Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, welcomed the largest combined July 3 & 4 crowds in franchise history at Dr Pepper Ballpark this past weekend. A grand total of 22,298 fans attended Frisco's home games this past Friday and Saturday, the most ever on back-to-back nights around the Fourth of July.
Saturday's crowd of 11,876 marked the largest ever for the club on the Fourth of July and the third-highest overall in franchise history. Additionally, a huge crowd of 10,422 watched the RoughRiders' 9-6 comeback victory over Northwest Arkansas on Friday. The top three crowds in team history have come in the last 27 home dates. Five of the seven biggest crowds in franchise history have come this season, specifically within the last ten weeks and 30 home dates. The current record crowd for a RoughRiders game at Dr Pepper Ballpark is 11,927, which was set on June 12, 2015.

The Riders once again lead all Double-A franchises in attendance, a feat the club has accomplished each season in the past decade. Frisco also leads 17 Triple-A teams in attendance for the 2015 season.
