
'Riders Come up Short in Series Finale

The RoughRiders couldn't overcome Midland in the finale of a three-game series on Monday night. The RockHounds beat Frisco, 6-4.
Midland got on the board early in the game, reaching 'Riders starter Richard Bleier for three runs in the top of the first inning. Center fielder Corey Brown drove in the first run of game with an RBI single. Shortstop Josh Horton followed him with a two-RBI single to push the score to 3-0 RockHounds.
Frisco wasn't going to go quietly into the night, battling back for three runs in the bottom of the fifth inning. Second baseman Ian Kinsler had the big hit of the inning, a two-RBI triple to pull the 'Riders within a run at 4-3. Kinsler finished the night 1-4 with two RBI.
Richard Bleier (7-11, 5.13) suffered his 11th loss of the season, allowing five runs (4 ER) on nine hits over 6.2 innings. He walked one and struck out three.
The game on Monday night marked the end of the regular season home schedule for Frisco. Frisco (68-64) finished 34-36 at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
