BUD'S A STUD: Bud Holloway picked up a pair of assists on Sunday afternoon to break the IceCaps' franchise record for points in a season with 60, previously held by Jason Jaffray (59). Bud currently sits sixth overall in the league's scoring race, with 19G, 41A, 60P in 68 games.

ICECAPS DEBUT: Rookies Daniel Audette, Simon Bourque and Jeremiah Addison all suited up in their first AHL games. Both Bourque and Addison picked up assists in the contest, their first pro points.

WINDING DOWN: The IceCaps finish up their season this weekend as they face the Hartford Wolf Pack at Mile One Centre. St.

John's will be wearing Sport NL jerseys on Friday night, and will celebrate fan appreciation to end the year.

Morgan Ellis blasted home the overtime winner as the IceCaps topped the Utica Comets at Mile One Centre. Zach Fucale was outstanding for the home side making 47 saves in the victory. Jacob de la Rose and Jeremy Gregoire scored in regulation for the IceCaps, who snapped a four-game losing streak. Despite the loss, the Comets were able to clinch a playoff berth by earning a point for reaching overtime.

Charles Hudon sniped a pair and added an assist as the St. John's IceCaps blew out the Utica Comets at Mile One Centre. Morgan Ellis, Nikita Scherbak and Michael McCarron all notched a goal and an assist. Ryan Johnston, who was reassigned from Montreal prior to the game along with fellow blueliners Joel Hanley and Darren Dietz, had two helpers and a team-best +6 rating. Jacob de la Rose scored for the second consecutive game, while Tim Bozon also found the back of the net for the home side. Eddie Pasquale made 30 saves in the win.
