
Blackhawks Recall Rundblad, Reassign Bickell and Rasmussen

Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today that they have recalled defenseman David Rundblad from the American Hockey League's Rockford IceHogs and reassigned forwards Bryan Bickell and Dennis Rasmussen to Rockford.
Rundblad, 25, notched two assists in nine games with the Blackhawks this season; he also added four points (2G, 2A) in 10 games with Rockford this year. The Lycksele, Sweden, native registered 16 points (3G, 13A) in 63 regular games over three seasons with Chicago (2013-15). The 2015 Stanley Cup champion also appeared in five 2015 Stanley Cup Playoff games. Over his five-year NHL career, Rundblad has scored 25 points (4G, 21A) in 113 career games with Ottawa (2011-12), Phoenix (2011-2014) and Chicago (2014-16).
Bickell, 30, has registered two assists in 25 games with Chicago this season. The Bowmanville, Ontario native has also recorded 31 points (15G, 16A) in 44 games with Rockford. Bickell has registered 135 points (65G, 70A) over 384 career regular-season NHL games and 39 points (20G, 19A) through 75 postseason contests, all with Chicago (2006-15). He was also a member of the Blackhawks' 2010, 2013 and 2015 Stanley Cup championship teams. Bickell was selected by Chicago in the second round (41st overall) of the 2004 NHL Draft.
Rasmussen, 25, has tallied nine points (4G, 5A) in 44 games with Chicago this season. The Vasteras, Sweden, native also added 14 points (7G, 7A) in 22 games with the IceHogs. He registered 27 points (13G, 14A) and a +9 plus/minus rating in 73 regular-season games with Rockford last year in his North American debut and added five shots on goal in seven Calder Cup contests.
