Ricky De La Torre activated from 7-day Injured List

Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Kernels and Minnesota Twins announce that INF Ricky De La Torre has been activated from the 7-day injured list. Brian Maloney, Senior Manager of Minor League Operations, announced the move.

De La Torre went on the injured list on June 21st with a right hamstring strain. He has played in nine games for the Kernels, batting .276 with 2 HR and 3 RBI. He was selected by the Twins in the 5th round of the 2017 First Year Player Draft out of the Puerto Rico Baseball Academy.

With today's transaction, the Kernels roster is at MWL maximum of 25 active players, with three players currently on the injured list and one player on the temporary inactive list.

The Kernels begin a short, two-game commuter series tonight at Burlington starting at 6:30 PM. They return to host Burlington on Thursday, July 4th at 5:05 PM and that series continues through Friday, July 5th.
