Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) meet the Bowling Green Hot Rods (affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays) in the first game of a two-game series.

Last Game: Monday: Dayton 6, South Bend 2. Brian Rey had a pair of RBI doubles, Miles Gordon and Juan Martinez each had solo home runs, and four Dayton pitchers combined to limit South Bend to 1 for 9 with men in scoring position. Lyon Richardson retired the first nine batters and earned the win with five good innings. The bullpen trio of Carlos Machorro, Matt Pidich, and Connor Bennett shutout the Cubs over the final four innings. Rey, Martinez, and Miguel Hernandez each had two hits.

The Dragons went 2-5 on road trip that ended Monday night with a win in South Bend.

The Dragons have scored in the first inning in each of their last three games.

Brian Rey is batting .346 over his last 16 games to raise his batting average to .298. Rey is hitting .348 in the second half.

Bennett has not been scored upon over his last 10 appearances covering 11.1 IP. For the year, he is tied for 1st in the MWL in saves with 10. He is 1st in appearances with 30.
