
Richmond's Hymovitz and Rockford's Robinson earn weekly honors

LAKE ST. LOUIS, MO--- The United Hockey League (UHL) announced Monday that Richmond RiverDogs center David Hymovitz has been named Sher-Wood Player of the Week and Rockford IceHogs goaltender Michel Robinson has been named Southern Sports Supply Goaltender of the Week for the period ending Sunday, November 21, 2004
Hymovitz completed the week with eight points (5g, 3a) and a plus-five rating in two games after returning from his call-up from AHL Binghamton. He began the week with two goals and an assist in Friday's 8-4 loss against Adirondack. On Saturday, he tallied four points while notching the 'Dogs second hat trick of the year against the Elmira Jackals. The 30-year old Randolph, Massachusetts native, is currently fifth in the league and first on the RiverDogs team with twenty-one points (8g,13a).
Other players nominated for the Sher-Wood UHL Player of the Week include: Adirondack right wing Ryan Bennett, Danbury forward Blake Bellefeuille, Elmira defenseman George Pujacs, Flint right wing Mike Kinnie, Fort Wayne center Colin Chaulk, Kalamazoo center Andrew Luciuk, Kansas City left wing Mark Lee, Missouri defenseman Bob Rapoza, Motor City right wing Brad Cruikshank, Muskegon right wing Robin Bouchard, Port Huron left wing Joey Sewell, Quad City forward Dave Stewart, and Rockford center Miguel Lafleche.
Robinson finished the week with a 2-0-0 record, 1.00 GAA, and .971 save percentage. In Friday's game versus Muskegon, Robinson turned away 30 of 31 shots leading to a 3-1 victory. On Saturday, Robinson stopped a season high 19 shots in the third period in the IceHogs 4-1 win over Quad City. Holding two top teams in the UHL to one goal a piece, this week's performance has placed Robinson as fifth in the league's leading goaltenders (.928 SPCT). The 22-year old Montreal, Quebec native brings the IceHogs into the seventh week at the top of the Western division (6-1-3).
