Richmond Holds off Senators, 4-3

The Harrisburg Senators had their modest three-game winning streak snapped Saturday night at FNB Field with a 4-3 loss to the Richmond Flying Squirrels. The Squirrels jumped out to a 4-1 lead, the Senators rallied to close to within a run, but couldn't manage any offense over their final four at bats.

Turning Point

With the score 2-1 in the top of the fifth inning, Patrick Bailey drove in two runs with a two out, two strike single up the middle. That gave Richmond a 4-1 lead. Though they wouldn't score again, they made the score stand up.

On Capitol Hill

Ronald Herrera started and tossed 4.2 innings allowing all four runs with just three earned. He walked two and struck out two. Malvin Pena, Reid Schaller, and Garvin Alston followed Herrera and combined to go 4.1 innings allowing just one hit and no runs.

With the Gavel

Will Frizzell had two hits including a double and an RBI single. Leonel Valera tripled and scored a run. Jose Sanchez doubled in the game.

Filibusters

The Senators had their three-game win streak snapped... Harrisburg went one-for-seven with runners in scoring position... Harrisburg committed two errors and now have seven in eight games... Game Time: 2:29...Attendance: 3,481.
