TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Bowie Baysox will meet in the opener of a three-game series...The Flying Squirrels used an 11-run, 22-hit assault to take care of the Harrisburg Senators, 11-4, in the series finale on Sunday afternoon in front of a capacity crowd of 9,560 at The Diamond.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Left-hander Clayton Tanner gets the start in the series opener for the Flying Squirrels...Enters the season rated as the #30 prospect in the Giants farm system according to Baseball America...Received a no-decision in his last start 5/10 at Bowie...Allowed three runs, none earned, on six hits in six innings of work...Struck out four batters and walked none...All three runs allowed came in the bottom of the first inning...Retired 15 of the final 19 batters he faced...Recorded 10 groundouts and three flyouts...Retired the leadoff batter in five of his six innings on the mound...Team fell to 0-6 in his starts this season...Left-hand hitters are batting .344 (11-for-32) against him this season...Left-hand batters hit .190 (22-for-116) against him last season...Spent the entire 2010 season with Richmond and went 9-9 with a 3.68 ERA in 27 starts...Struck out 79 batters and walked 64 in 149 innings...Named an Eastern League Mid-Season All-Star, but did not pitch in the game...Finished the season ninth in the EL in ERA...Member of the San Francisco Giants 40-man roster...Selected in the 3rd round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft.

GETTING OFFENSIVE: The Flying Squirrels scored a season-high 11 runs on a franchise-record 22 hits in the series finale with Harrisburg on Sunday afternoon... The previous franchise mark for most hits in a game was 19 which occurred 5/27/10 at Binghamton...Richmond went 22-for-42 (.524) at the plate in the contest, and the club raised its batting average from .225 to .235...Richmond collected 43 hits over the three-game series with the Senators (14.33 H/G)...The Flying Squirrels 11-4 win over the Senators was the club's most one-sided victory of the season...The club's six hits in the bottom of the eighth inning were also a season-high...At three hours and eight minutes, the contest was the longest nine-inning game of the season for the Flying Squirrels.

FULL HOUSE: The Flying Squirrels announced a capacity crowd of 9,560 for Sunday's contest against the Harrisburg Senators making it the second sellout of the season and the 11th sellout in Flying Squirrels' history...Richmond played in front of 13 crowds of over 9,000 at The Diamond including nine sellout crowds of 9,560 in 2010.

THE DON JUAN: Outfielder Juan Perez set a career-high by going 5-for-5 with a double, triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored on Sunday afternoon...The 24-year-old also matched the franchise mark for most hits in a single game as he tied Nick Noonan who also collected five hits 8/1/10 against Altoona...The Bronx, NY, native also matched the club's season-high for most total bases in a game with eight...Perez went 9-for-15 (.600) at the plate in the three-game series against Harrisburg and has multi-hit games in three of his last four contest, raising his batting average from .220 to .270 over that span.

IN THE NICK OF TIME: Shortstop Nick Noonan matched a season-high with three hits on Sunday afternoon, going 3-for-4 with a RBI, an runs scored and a walk...It was the third multi-RBI game of the season for the 22-year-old...He has hits in 19 of his 23 games played with the Flying Squirrels and is batting .435 (10-for-23) with four doubles, four RBIs, and three runs scored over his last six games, raising his batting average from .230 to .278 over that stretch...Noonan has struck out eight times and has walked five times in his last six contests.

BOOK 'EM DAN-O: Right-hander Dan Otero has tossed 15 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings over his last eight appearances, matching the longest scoreless streak of the season for a Flying Squirrels pitcher...The 26-year-old has struck out 19 batters and walked none while holding opponents to a .193 (11-for-57) average against over the course of the streak.

PITCHING IN: The Flying Squirrels pitching staff leads the Eastern League with a 2.99 ERA through 36 games and the club ranks third in the league with 299 strikeouts...The pitching staff has logged a league-high 333 2/3 innings of work.

HOME AND AWAY: The Flying Squirrels are in the middle of a stretch where they will play 10 of 13 games at home...Richmond is 13-7 at home and is batting .265 (183-for-690) in 20 games at The Diamond while averaging 4.30 runs per game at home (86R/20G)...Beginning May 27th, the club will start a stretch where it will play 13 of 16 games on the road...The Flying Squirrels are 4-12 on the road, and they are batting .196 (107-for-545) and averaging 3.00 runs per game (48R/16G) in 16 road contests.
