Tonight, the SeaWolves begin a brief three game homestand as they host the Trenton Thunder (New York Yankees) in the first of a three-game series at Jerry Uht Park. On Sunday, the SeaWolves snapped their longest losing streak of the season (four games) with a 2-1 win in 13 innings at Altoona. Erie tied the game in the top of the ninth and won the game with a run in the top of the 13th. Sunday's win puts the SeaWolves three games under .500, in last place in the Western Division. Despite being in last place, the 'Wolves remain just two games out of first... Trenton enters play tonight in fourth place in the EL East and is 7-3 in the last 10 games. Only New Britain has a better record in the last 10 games than Trenton. The Thunder boasts the second-best pitching staff in the league with a 3.12 team ERA. Trenton's offense ranks last in the league, hitting .231 as a club...Lefty Casey Crosby takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his seventh start of the season. Crosby took a loss in his last start against Akron. In the game, the lefty allowed two runs on three hits with five strikeouts and a season-high six walks. The 'Wolves lost the game 4-1 and Erie's record when Crosby starts dropped to 1-5...Lefty Manny Banuelos takes the mound for Trenton making his seventh start. He earned his first win in his last start against Reading, tossing five innings, allowing two runs on three hits with two walks and five strikeouts. Banuelos has not allowed more than three runs in any of his six starts...The SeaWolves and Thunder have alternated season series wins in each of the last five seasons...Justin Henry was named EL Player of the Week. Erie's first winner in 2011.

- Trenton won the 2010 season series over Erie 11-3. The SeaWolves and Thunder meet nine times in 2011.- Defensively, the SeaWolves have committed 37 errors which is second-most in the EL. The SeaWolves have not committed an error in four of their last five games.- The SeaWolves are 12-12 in night games and 4-7 in day games. - Erie's pitching staff is 11th in the league with a 4.44 team ERA. The SeaWolves have given up 177 runs which is the most allowed in the league.- The SeaWolves are third in the EL with 174 runs scored.- Erie's offense is third in the league with a .275 eam batting average.- The 'Wolves are hitting .259 with RISP, .219 with two outs and RISP and .289 with runners on base.- As a team, the SeaWolves are 8-for-32 with the bases loaded. - The 'Wolves are 11-8 at Jerry Uht Park- Erie is 6-5 against the Eastern Division. - Justin Henry is third in the EL with a .354 average.- Francisco Martinez is tied for third in the EL with 25 runs scored.- OF Brent Wyatt has been transferred to Class-A Lakeland. The Tigers have acquired OF Adam Calderone from Toronto and assigned him to Erie.- Justin Henry is second in the league with a .368 average. Henry was named EL Player of the Week on Monday.
