TONIGHT: The Richmond Flying Squirrels and Binghamton Mets will meet in game two of a three-game series...The Flying Squirrels scored five unanswered runs en route to a 5-2 win in the opener of a the three-game set on Tuesday night at The Diamond.

TONIGHT'S STARTERS: Right-hander Mike MacDonald gets the start in game two of the series for the Flying Squirrels...Suffered the loss in his last start at Reading 6/11...Gave up seven runs on 10 hits in 3 2/3 innings...Struck out none and walked one...Five of the seven runs allowed came with two outs...Allowed the leadoff batter to reach in three of his four innings on the mound...Recorded seven ground outs and three fly outs...Threw 72 pitches, 44 strikes...Seven runs allowed matched a season high...Seven earned runs allowed were both a personal and team season high...Ten hits allowed were both a personal and team season high...Failed to pitch four complete innings for the third time in 12 starts this season...Had allowed just three runs on 12 hits over 11 2/3 innings in his last two starts (2.31 ERA)...Left-handed batters are hitting .451 (37-for-82) against him...Richmond is 1-11 in his 12 outings...Averaging 1.42 runs of support during his appearances...Has not won since 4/30 against Bowie...Is 0-3 with a 6.99 ERA over his last seven outings...Began the season 1-2 with a 2.54 ERA in his first five starts...Is 0-2 with a 5.01 ERA in six career appearances including four starts against the B-Mets.

Right-hander Josh Stinson gets the nod in game two of the three-game series for the B-Mets...Earned the win in game two of a double-header against Bowie 6/10...Tossed five scoreless innings while giving up just two hits...Struck out five batters and walked two...Combined with two relievers on a three-hit shutout...Is 1-0 with a 1.84 ERA in three starts...Has allowed three runs on six hits in 14 2/3 innings with eight strike outs and seven walks...Was 2-1 with a 3.20 in 18 appearances out of the bullpen...Struck out 26 batters and walked 15 in 39 1/3 innings...Held opponents to a .237 batting average against him...Went 1-for-3 in save opportunities...Only loss of the season came in his lone appearance against Richmond...Allowed one run on two hits in two innings of work...Run allowed came on a Brandon Crawford home run...Was his last relief appearance prior to moving into the rotation...Split last season between Low-A Savannah and Advanced-A St. Lucie...Went a 5-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 50 appearances including one start across both levels...Struck out a combined 84 batters and walked 29...Held opponents to a .233 batting average...Opened the previous three seasons with Low-A Savannah...Selected in the 37th round of the 2006 First-Year Player Draft...Enters 2010 rated as the #26 prospect in the New York Mets organization according to Baseball America.

HEAT WAVE: The Flying Squirrels are batting .304 (65-for-214) over their last six games including eight home runs and 31 runs scored (5.2 R/G)...The club has reached double-digits in hits in four of those six contests...Prior to the recent hot streak, Richmond was batting just .239 (461-for-1922) with 26 home runs and 194 runs scored over the club's first 59 games (3.3 R/G)...The Flying Squirrels are 2-4 over their last six games...Overall the club is batting .246 as a team, tied for ninth in the Eastern League.

THOMAS THE TRAIN: Outfielder Thomas Neal has hits in 11 straight games including a season-high four hits in a 4-for-4 effort Tuesday night against New Britain...It is the longest hit streak of the season for Neal and his fourth of five games or more...Since dropping down in the order 6/4 at Trenton, he is 18-for-37 (.486) over his last 11 contests with five doubles, a home run, eight RBI and five runs scored...The 22-year-old leads the club with 20 multi-hit games, 16 doubles and 21 extra base hits and is tied with Conor Gillaspie for the team lead with 31 RBI...He is tied for third in the Eastern League with 71 hits...Neal is the only Flying Squirrel to have appeared in all 65 games.

AMBUSH: First baseman Michael Ambort has a five-game hit streak including multi-hit games in four of those five games...The 25-year-old is 9-for-21 (.429) at the plate over his last five games with two doubles, a home run, six RBI, and five runs scored...He has hits in nine of the 10 games he has played in since coming off of the Disabled List 6/3...Ambort is batting .342 (13-for-38) over that span with three doubles, a home run, nine RBI and nine runs scored...He has also scored at least one run in each of his last seven games.

FORD-ITUDE: Outfielder Darren Ford has hits in a season-best five consecutive games...The 24-year-old is 8-for-24 (.333) at the plate over his last five contests with two doubles, two triples, two home runs, four RBI, and four runs scored...His 18 stolen bases put him in a three-way tie for third in the Eastern League...Ford leads the league with 27 stolen base attempts and also caught stealing (9).

BRIGHT BLUE SKY-LER: Super utility man Skyler Stromsmoe has hits in each of his last seven games, a season-long hit streak, including a season-high three hits 6/11 at Reading...Over the course of the streak, he is 12-for-31 (.387) with a double, triple, two home runs, three RBI, and four runs scored...The 26-year-old has hits in eight of the nine games he has played in since coming off of the Disabled List 6/5...Since his return to the active roster, Stromsmoe is 13-for-38 (.342).

LA TORRID: Catcher Tyler La Torre has hits in each of his last five games including going 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI on Monday morning at Reading...It was the second time in his career that La Torre drove in three runs (9/5/07 @ Eugene)...He is 7-for-19 (.368) with a double, home run, four RBI and two runs scored.

DOUBLETREE DOWNTOWN DOUBLE PLAYS: The Richmond Flying Squirrels have turned 81 double plays in 65 games including six on 5/7 in Harrisburg...The club leads the Eastern League in double plays turned and has not gone more than two games without turning a double play.

CFS STAT OF THE NIGHT: The Flying Squirrels won for just the third time in 28 games when being outhit by their opponent...The only other two times it has happened were 6/9 against New Britain and 5/2 against Bowie.
