
Richard Promoted to AA Birmingham

Winston-Salem Dash News Release
WINSTON-SALEM, NC (AUGUST 8, 2010) - Today Dash IF Mike Richard (pronounced REE-shard) was promoted to AA Birmingham. There is no corresponding roster move at this time.
Richard played in 21 games for Winston-Salem since receiving a promotion from low-A Kannapolis. He hit .254 with three RBI, nine runs scored and four stolen bases. He was acquired from the Oakland organization earlier this season in a deal that sent Jared Price to the Athletics.
The Dash's roster now has 24 players, one below the Carolina League limit.
Winston-Salem finishes its home stand today at 2 p.m. against the Frederick Keys.
