FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - The New England Revolution Academy is set to begin the MLS NEXT spring season this weekend as the Under-19s, Under-17s, and Under-15s travel to face Beachside Soccer Club CT on Saturday before all four teams host Met Oval on Sunday.
The defending MLS NEXT Cup Champion U-19s went 10-1-2 in the fall and were unbeaten at MLS NEXT Fest, going 2-0-1 in the tournament. Bryce Flowers (2005 - Sharon, Mass.) leads his team with eight goals on the season as 10 different players netted goals during the fall. Including tournament play, the U-19s have earned seven clean sheets so far this year with Max Weinstein (2004 - Montpelier, V.T.), Ryan Carney (2006 - Dunstable, Mass.), Kevin Christensen (2006 - Natick, Mass.) and Marshall Nason Martin (2007 - Norwood, Mass.) all seeing time in net.
The U-17s closed out their fall season with an 8-3-1 record, going 2-1-0 at MLS NEXT Fest. 11 players have found the back of the net this season with Olger Escobar (2006 - Lynn, Mass.), who recently returned from his fourth call-up to the U-17 Guatemalan Youth National Team, leading the way with seven tallies so far. The U-17s have notched three or more goals in seven of their 12 games played during 2022-23 as Owen Beninga (2007 - Jackson, W.Y.), Carney, Christensen, and Nason Martin all contributed in goal.
The U-15s went 6-3-3 in the fall, adding on a 2-1-0 record during MLS NEXT Fest. Cristiano Carlos (2008 - Chicopee, Mass.) leads his team with seven goals and tallied twice in the California tournament. All six of the team's wins have been clean sheets with goalkeeping efforts split between Sean Cory (2008 - Wrentham, Mass.) and Jose Goodman Millman (2008 - Cocheton, N.Y.)
The U-14s enter spring with a 7-4-2 record as Ryker Fauth (2009 - Milford, Mass.) and Reinner Fidelis (2009 - Peabody, Mass.) led their team to five clean sheets last fall. Judah Siqueira (2009 - South Easton, Mass.) leads the U-14s with 10 goals on the year and saw some game action with the U-15s at MLS NEXT Fest.
