From the Notes

Ransom's Big Day: 39-year-old infielder Cody Ransom had a career performance at the plate yesterday. The 18-year veteran - starting in his first game since May 30 vs. New Orleans - finished 3-for-5 with a pair of three-run homers. He totaled 7 RBI, eclipsing a pair of six-RBI games he had set previously in his career. He entered yesterday's affair with 8 RBI on the season, and he nearly matched that in a wild finish at Fresno.

5+ Not Enough: The Aces scored five-plus runs for the fourth consecutive game, but they've surrendered 6, 9, 11 and 15, all in defeats. Reno's starting pitchers have combined for an 8.84 ERA (19 ER in 19 1/3 IP), and the bullpen has a collective 11.74 ERA (20 ER in 15 1/3 IP) over the last four games.
