"Bee Healthy Week" Comes to Smith's Ballpark

SALT LAKE CITY (June 8, 2015) - The Salt Lake Bees have partnered with Intermountain LDS Hospital and the Utah Department of Health to present "Bee Healthy Week" on June 11-13 as part of the team's ongoing commitment to health and wellness.

As the Bees host the Fresno Grizzlies, fans will be encouraged to participate in six interactive Bee Healthy Challenges on the concourse of Smith's Ballpark during the three sponsored games. Fans who complete at least four of the six challenges will receive a Bee Healthy T-shirt and entry into a drawing to win an autographed Bees mini-helmet, bat or baseball. Fans that complete all six challenges will receive a Bee Healthy sling backpack.

The Bee Healthy Challenges include:

- LiVe Well life-sized "Operation" game

- Blood pressure check

- Body fat analysis

- Hydration station

- Chair yoga

- Home safety challenge

Prior to the game on Friday, June 12, Bees players will host the first of three Knothole Club baseball clinics at 10 a.m. at Smith's Ballpark. Knothole Club members will have the chance to interact with Bees players while participating in a variety of baseball drills and will also have the opportunity for autographs and photos.

Also on Friday, June 12, the first 2,000 attendees will receive Bee Healthy First Aid Kit, courtesy of Intermountain LDS Hospital and the Utah Department of Health. Kids will also be able to run the bases in the Student Neighborhood Access Program (SNAP) Postgame Kids Run.

Game times on June 11 and 12 is 7:05 p.m. A fireworks show will take place at the conclusion of the Saturday, June 13 game. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
