San Jose Earthquakes News Release
SAN JOSE, Calif. - The San Jose Earthquakes (5-5-3; 18 pts.) are hosting FC Dallas (6-3-4; 22 pts.) tonight at PayPal Park. The match kicks off at 7:30 p.m. PT and will be broadcast on MLS Season Pass on the Apple TV app as well as on local radio via 810 AM The Spread (English) and 1370 KZSF (Spanish).
The Quakes will look to extend their undefeated streak at home (5-0-1) as they return to PayPal Park for the first time since April 15. San Jose hasn't lost a match at home to Dallas since July 8, 2016. The game will also be the first time Earthquakes Head Coach Luchi Gonzalez and midfielder Carlos Gruezo will face their former club. Gonzalez was a member of the organization from 2012-21, including a head coaching stint from 2018-21, and Gruezo played for Dallas from 2016-19.
FC Dallas hasn't lost an MLS match since April 22, currently sitting just one spot ahead of San Jose in the Western Conference standings at fourth. Dallas comes in off a 1-1 draw against Houston Dynamo FC in the Texas Derby last weekend. Dallas is led by U.S. Men's National Team forward Jesus Ferreira, who is currently tied for second alongside Cristian Espinoza in goals in MLS (8).
