LOS ANGELES - Following a 2-0 shutout win over LAFC in the Round of 16 of the 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup at BMO Stadium on May 23, the LA Galaxy return to league play to play host to Charlotte FC at Dignity Health Sports Park tonight, Saturday, May 27 (7:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV; LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
Saturday's home match at Dignity Health Sports Park marks the second all-time regular-season meeting between the Galaxy and Charlotte FC, with LA leading the series 1-0-0. In the first and only MLS regular-season meeting between LA and Charlotte, the Galaxy earned a 1-0 victory on the road with Efraín Álvarez scoring the game-winning goal in front of an MLS record crowd of 74,479 fans at Bank of America Stadium on March 5, 2022. LA is unbeaten in its last two matches played at home across all competitions (2-0-0, 5 GF, 2 GA), dating back to May 10. Notably, in their last three matches played across all competitions in the Los Angeles area dating back to May 10, the Galaxy hold a 3-0-0 record (7 GF, 2 GA).
