Reign Celebrate Couture's 500th Game with Fan Contest

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, back-to-back Pacific Division Champions and proud affiliate of the NHL's Los Angeles Kings and Winnipeg Jets, will celebrate Reign captain Derek Couture's 500th professional game on Friday, Jan. 10 when the Reign play the Bakersfield Condors.
Couture, 29, has played a combined total 499 professional contests in the American Hockey League and the ECHL. The Calgary, Alberta native has dressed for 301 AHL games between Omaha, Quad City, Binghamton, Hartford, and Houston, and 198 ECHL games with Elmira, Charlotte, Victoria, and, of course, Ontario.
The Reign are proud to host Couture's 500th professional game as he has captained the team for the past two seasons and has become a major component of the Reign organization.
To celebrate the forward's milestone game, the Reign are hosting a "Captain for the Day" fan experience contest for one lucky fan to win two (2) lower level tickets to Friday's game, a seat on the bench or penalty box to watch the pre-game skate, a special role in the pre-game ceremony, a post-game meet and greet with Couture, and two (2) Couture autographed items.
To enter the "Captain for a Day" contest click here and complete the online survey. The winner will be selected at random and notified before 12 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 10 if they have won the contest.
In addition to this online contest, fans are invited to bring special posters/signs, t-shirts, and jerseys to win an in-game contest for two lower level tickets to a future game, and an autographed Couture mini-stick. These winners will be chosen during Friday's game.
