
Countdown to Face-Off: Kalamazoo Wings at Fort Wayne Komets

Over the course of the next week the Kalamazoo Wings and Fort Wayne Komets will get very familiar with one another. Four out of the next five games for the K-Wings will be against their arch-rivals. Tonight is the third meeting of the season between the two teams. Kalamazoo is 1-1-0-0 against Fort Wayne.
Kalamazoo heads into the Allen County Memorial Coliseum looking to extend one streak, while ending another. While the K-Wings are unbeaten in regulation in their last three games (2-0-1-0), they have also dropped two straight on the road.
Like the K-Wings, the Komets come into this evening riding a three-game (2-0-1-0) unbeaten streak in regulation. With 32 points, Fort Wayne is in fourth place in the North Division and is three points behind Kalamazoo for third.

Chaulk Returns
Tonight will be the first time that assistant coach Colin Chaulk returns to Fort Wayne as a member of the K-Wings. A 15-year pro, Chaulk played for the Komets for 10 seasons, most recently last year.
Grueling Stretch Last Saturday the K-Wings concluded their most grueling stretch of the season, six games in nine days. Kalamazoo finished the stretch with a record of 3-2-1-0.
A December to Remember
Tonight is the first road game in the month of January for the K-Wings. Last month Kalamazoo was stellar on the road earning a record of 6-2-0-0 away from Wings Stadium.
