December 26, 2014 - ECHL (ECHL)
Indy Fuel News Release
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs, announced Friday that goaltender Cody Reichard has been returned to the Fuel following his recent loan to the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL. In two AHL assignments this season, Reichard has yet to appear in a game for the Griffins or the Chicago Wolves.
The most called-upon goaltender for the Fuel so far this season, Reichard has posted a team-best 5-6-1-1 record in 15 appearances for Indy in 2014-15 with a 3.35 goals-against average (GAA) and a .889 save percentage (S%). In seven career AHL appearances, the 5'11", 165 lb. Celina, Ohio native went 4-2-1 for the Houston Aeros and Iowa Wild over the course of the past two seasons with a combined save percentage of .911. In response to Reichard's reassignment, the Fuel also announced Friday that they've released emergency backup goaltender Jordan Tibbett.
Next up for the Fuel, it's a Friday home clash vs. the Cincinnati Cyclones on "Boxing Day, Eh!" at Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Fuel will put an American twist on the Canadian holiday as the first 1,000 ticket holders through the gates at Indiana Farmers Coliseum will receive a complimentary Fuel gift. For tickets, visit any Ticketmaster location, Ticketmaster.com or swing by the Indiana Farmers Coliseum box office during regular business hours, Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
