Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats snapped their five game losing streak with a 5-4 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings on Thursday night at the Brandt Centre. The Wheat Kings scored the game's first two goals to lead 2-0 early in the second period. However the Pats responded with three goals in a 2:23 span to take the lead. First, Logan Nijhoff scored his second in as many games, Cale Fleury got his eighth on the powerplay and then Bryan Lockner tipped home his fifth and it was 3-2 Regina. Brandon tied it up midway through the second but Nick Henry restored the lead with his fifth and it was 4-3 after 40 minutes.

In the third, Brandon again drew even at the nine minute mark but Regina responded thanks to Matt Bradley who put in a rebound for his 23rd with just over six minutes left and the Pats held on from there for the 5-4 win. The Pats outshot Brandon 36-28, the powerplay was two for eight and the penalty kill three for three. Jake Leschyshyn, Logan Nijhoff and Matt Bradley led the offense with two point nights while Tyler Brown made 24 saves. The Pats (17-18-3-0) will be back in action on Saturday night in Prince Albert against the Raiders.
