Vancouver, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants six-game winning streak ended Wednesday at the hands of the Everett Silvertips. Riley Sutter had four goals and a helper, Connor Dewar scored twice while adding three assists and Dustin Wolf stopped all 24 shots he faced to help lift Everett to an 11-0 victory over the Vancouver Giants. 13 Silvertips recorded at least a point as the US Division leaders have now won 12 of their last 13. For the Giants it was just their second loss in a span of 10 games.

BOX SCORE

Four of Everett's goals came in the opening 20 minutes. Riley Sutter grabbed the first two for the visitors at 2:28 and 12:43 respectively. He'd finish with four goals and an assist on the night. Fellow 1999-born forward Connor Dewar would not be out-done as he chimed in with two late markers in the first three minutes and five seconds apart to stake the 'Tips to a 4-0 lead.

Giants starting goaltender David Tendeck was replaced at the start of the second period by rookie Todd Scott, but that move did little to ward off the Everett attack as they'd add three quick ones in the first 5:49 of period two. Riley Sutter notched his hat-trick goal just 2:21 into the period and a minute and 16 seconds later Sean Richards scored off a clear-cut breakaway to make it a 6-0 score. Orrin Centazzo scored his first of two on the night at 5:49 to make it 7-0.

Jake Christensen and Matt Fonteyne added late goals in middle frame to give the Silvertips a 9-0 advantage through 40 minutes.

Everett tacked on two more in the final period to solidfy their 11-0 victory. Riley Sutter tipped home his fourth of the season at 11:28 and with under three minutes to play, Orrin Centazzo wrapped up the game's scoring with his fifth of the season at 17:18. The final shots on goal were 29-24 for Everett.

Between the pipes, rookie Dustin Wolf snagged his sixth victory for Everett on the season. Wednesday's win marks his second career WHL shutout. On the other side, David Tendeck and Todd Scott teamed up for 18 saves on 29 shots faced.

Everett's power play finished two-for-six while the Giants went zero-for-two.

Heading into the weekend the Giants (18-14-2-2) sit just three points back of Victoria for second in the B.C. Division and they won't have to wait long for a shot at revenge as they'll once again face the Silvertips (22-13-1-1) on Friday night at 7:30 PM down South.
