Oklahoma City Comets News Release

The Iowa Cubs rallied for four runs in the seventh inning, keyed by Michael Restovich's three-run homer, to come from behind to beat the RedHawks 5-3 Tuesday afternoon, sweeping the four-game series at Principal Park.

Both teams are 67-64 on the season as the RedHawks were swept for the fourth time, all on the road.

Down 1-0, Oklahoma scored three runs in the seventh inning to take its first lead of the series on an RBI single by Aarom Baldiris and a two-run double by Adam Morrissey. Of Oklahoma's 10 runs in the series, seven came in the seventh inning. Oklahoma was out-scored 18-1 in the first four innings of the series.

The lead was short lived. With a runner on first and two out in the seventh, Felix Pie's high popup to shallow center field dropped between shortstop Joaquin Arias and center fielder Drew Meyer. Eric Patterson, who went 8-for-15 in his first series in Triple-A, promptly singled in a run. Restovich, who also went 8-for-15 plus two home runs and six RBIs, belted the decisive three-run homer off Erasmo Ramirez, who took the loss to fall to 6-3.

Brandon Emanuel (1-2) picked up the relief win while Kerry Ligtenberg pitched a scoreless ninth for his 13th save.

The RedHawks begin a nine-game homestand Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark against the Omaha Royals.
