RedHawks Rally for 9-8 Win Monday Against Nashville

Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma City RedHawks offense erased an early six-run deficit against the Nashville Sounds Monday, hitting two home runs and four triples in front of a crowd of 4,677 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
Trevor Crowe paced the RedHawks offense, going 3-for-3, hitting his second home run of the season, scoring four runs, walking twice, adding two RBI and three stolen bases.
RedHawks pitcher Jose Valdez retired all six Nashville batters he faced in the final two innings for his seventh save of the season. Kyle Hallock (1-0) recorded the win, pitching 4.1 innings in relief, allowing two hits and walking two.
Jake Elmore collected a home run and a triple and had three RBI for Oklahoma City. Jonathan Villar recorded three hits, including a triple.
The RedHawks (14-10) also stole six bases as they won their fourth game in a row to remain in first place in the PCL American Southern Division. They boosted their season total to 34 stolen bases.
The Sounds jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning. Jeff Bianchi singled on a line drive to center to score Scooter Gennett, who led off the game with a double. Stephen Parker then doubled to score Bianchi for a 2-0 lead. A single from Brett Wallace scored Crowe to cut into the Sounds lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the inning.
The Sounds (7-15) added five runs in the second inning, including two on a single from Gennett and two more on a triple by Bianchi. RedHawks starting pitcher Ross Seaton threw 1.2 innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits, walking three and striking out two before being replaced by Hallock.
Oklahoma City's Jason Jaramillo doubled to score Andy Simunic and Crowe hit a two-run shot into the Nashville bullpen to make the score, 7-4, in the second.
Elmore hit the RedHawks second home run of the night to score two runs in the fourth inning. Paredes and Krauss hit back-to-back triples and Paredes scored to tie the game. Villar's single scored Krauss for an 8-7 edge. In the fifth, Elmore hit a RBI triple for a 9-7 lead.
Nashville scored one run in the eighth before Valdez entered the game with the bases loaded. He struck out the first two batters he faced, then got Sean Halton to hit into a groundout to end the inning. Valdez retired the side in order in the ninth to seal the victory.
Despite being given a six-run lead, Nashville pitcher Frankie De La Cruz (1-3) allowed 10 hits and eight runs over 3.2 innings and took the loss.
The two teams combined for 29 hits.
The series with Nashville continues for the RedHawks with a 7:05 p.m. game Tuesday at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
