LAST GAME:
The RedHawks tied a season-low, losing their fifth straight game at the Brick. The Cubs took the third game of the 4-game series, winning 7-4 yesterday. The RedHawks took an early 1-0 lead in the third inning but couldn't hold the lead. The Cubs scored one run in the fourth, two in the sixth and three in the seventh to build a 6-1 lead. The RedHawks got within two, scoring three runs in the bottom of the seventh to make the score 6-4. The Cubs added an insurance run in the eighth, making the score 7-4. The RedHawks had a chance in the ninth, with the bases loaded and only one out, but a game-ending double play ended the threat. Starter Alfredo Simon took the loss, allowing six runs on 10 hits in 6.1 innings.

makes his fourth start of the season for the RedHawks. He earned his first RedHawk win of the season Tuesday at Sacramento, allowing two runs on five hits in five innings. The Hawks have a 5.37 ERA at home since June 27th compared to a 2.99 ERA on the road during that stretch.
LATE INNING FIZZLE:
