Today's Game: The RedHawks continue their five-game series at Iowa with a doubleheader of two seven-inning games starting at 1:05 p.m. The RedHawks have dropped four of five games against Iowa this season after losing four times all of last year during the teams' season series. The team is looking to avoid losing four-straight games for the first time this season.

Last Game: Similar to Friday night's series opener, the RedHawks grabbed an early lead again Saturday on a home run, only to have the I-Cubs answer with a four-run inning en route to a 7-3 win. Brett Wallace hit a two-run home run in the first inning. Iowa responded with four runs in the second inning and added to its lead in the sixth inning on Edwin Maysonet's two-run shot to left-center field. Wallace's RBI groundout in the seventh inning cut into Iowa lead before the I-Cubs scored again in the eighth. I-Cubs starting pitcher Brooks Raley (4-3) scattered seven hits, allowed three runs, struck out six and walked three over 6.1 innings. RedHawks starter Asher Wojciechowski lost a second-straight game, throwing 5.1 innings and allowing five runs on seven hits. He retired 11 of his last 13.

Today's Probable Pitcher: Brett Oberholtzer looks to set the tone in game one...Oberholtzer was brilliant Tuesday in Fresno, tossing seven scoreless innings. He allowed just three hits with one walk and tied a season high with nine strikeouts. He retired 12 of the first 13 and 20 of the first 22 hitters he faced...The I-Cubs will probably see a different pitcher than the one they defeated on May 5 after scoring four runs over 3.2 innings against him. Since that start, Oberholtzer has allowed just two runs and eight hits over his last three starts, spanning 17 innings. He's struck out 22 during that time...In four career starts against the I-Cubs he is 1-2 with a 5.57 ERA.

Philip Humber is scheduled to start the second game. It will be Humber's first start since joining the team on May 17...Humber was claimed off waivers this past off-season by the Astros and made the Astros starting rotation out of Spring Training. He went 0-8 with a 9.59 ERA in nine appearances and lost each of his first seven starts before being designated for assignment on May 12...Humber has made two relief appearances with the RedHawks and has allowed two runs and two hits over 2.1 innings...Today will be his first meeting against Iowa since June 23, 2010 when he was pitching for the Omaha Royals.

Against the Cubs: 2013: 1-4 2012: 12-4 All-time: 99-111 In Iowa: 46-62

Iowa has already surpassed its home win total and matched its overall win total from 2012 against the RedHawks...The I-Cubs took two of three in a shortened series earlier this month due to inclement weather. The teams split a doubleheader before Iowa won the finale...It was the first series the Cubs had taken from the RedHawks since July 14-17, 2011, as Iowa had not won any of its previous six series against the RedHawks...The RedHawks were held to just seven runs over the those three games...Former RedHawk Brian Bogusevic is 9-for-17 and has reached base in 13 of 21 plate appearances...Josh Vitters is 7-for-18 with three home runs. He has not gone deep against anyone else this year.

Big 12 Big Trip: The RedHawks are in the middle of their annual 12-day road trip while the Big 12 Baseball Championship takes place at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The RedHawks completed the first two legs of the trip on the west coast and are now 4-6 through the first 10 games, with three games remaining.

Double Dipping: Today marks the fourth doubleheader of the season for the RedHawks. They have split each of their previous three doubleheaders and have split four straight going back to last season.

Day Men: The RedHawks are 9-4 in day games this year, including wins in each of their last four games under the sun.

Wally World: Brett Wallace has hit safely in seven of his last eight games, batting .355 (11x31) during that time. Over the first 10 games of the road trip he has collected 14 RBI. Although he did not join the team until April 21, Wallace is now tied for the team lead with eight home runs and ranks second with 27 RBI, just two behind team-leader Marc Krauss. Since he began PCL play, he is tied for the second-most homers and the fourth-most RBI in the league.

Walk This Way: The RedHawks have drawn 13 walks over the first two games of this series. They rank fourth in the league with 195 walks but boast the second-best walk-to-strikeout ratio (0.59).

Perez Making Push: RedHawks catcher Carlos Perez is on a seven-game hitting streak and has hit safely in nine of his last 10 games. He has notched one hit during each game of the streak.

Dinger Details: The RedHawks have cranked eight home runs over their last six games, marking their best stretch of the season. On the other hand, the pitching staff has also allowed eight homers over the same amount of time, also their highest total over six games. The recent trend is in lockstep with their season numbers, as the team has both hit and allowed exactly 36 homers.

At Your Own RISP: Iowa went 4-for-11 with runners in scoring position last night, bucking a recent trend in which the RedHawks held their opponents to a .182 average (24-for-132) with runners in scoring position over the previous 15 games. The RedHawks had not allowed as many as four hits with runners in scoring position since May 12. On offense, the team is 1-for-15 with RISP this series.

Better Under Pressure: RedHawks closer Jose Valdez has a 1.46 ERA during save situations (2 ER/12.1 IP), but a 4.00 ERA (4 ER/9.0 IP) in non-save situations.
