Today's Game: The RedHawks look to avoid losing back-to-back games for the first time this season as well as notch their first home win when they face the Memphis Redbirds at 7:05 p.m.

Last Game: Memphis scored three times in the first and eventually jumped out to a 7-0 lead to set the stage for the RedHawks 10-6 loss. Brock Peterson hit a three-run homer off the LED board in left field in the first inning, and the Redbirds stretched the lead to 7-0 in the fourth. The RedHawks would get on the board in the fifth and finish with six runs and 16 hits. Marc Krauss hit a two-run homer and Jake Elmore went 4-for-5 with two doubles. Oscar Taveras and Ryan Jackson had four hits apiece for the Redbirds. Memphis pitcher Seth Maness (1-1) allowed one run over six innings ot earn the win.

Today's Probable Pitchers: Jose Cisnero makes his first start as he and Rudy Owens swap places this time in the rotation...Cisnero threw three scoreless innings on Monday in Nashville, allowing a pair of hits with three strikeouts...He also held the Sounds to an 0-for-5 mark with runners in scoring position...Cisnero spent most of last season with Double-A Corpus Christi, going 9-6 with a 3.40 ERA...At the time of his promotion, Cisnero led the Texas League in strikeouts and ranked second in wins...Cisnero joined the RedHawks on July 28 and went 4-1 with a 4.54 ERA over eight starts...In each of his first two PCL starts, Cisnero pitched seven innings and allowed just one run...He set career highs in starts (28), wins (13), and innings (148.1), and his 148 strikeouts were second-best among Astros farmhands.

Rudy Owens will follow Cisnero tonight...Owens had a terrific debut in Nashville, but took a tough-luck loss...He allowed one unearned run over five efficient innings...The lefty scattered five hits with just one walk...He threw a total of 57 pitches and retired the side on nine pitches or less three times...The Astros acquired Owens along with current teammate Robbie Grossman and LHP Colton Cain in exchange for Wandy Rodriguez last July 24...He got off to a bit of a rough start after joining the RedHawks, but finished strong by posting a 2.93 ERA over his final five outings, including four quality starts...He was named Pittsburgh's Minor League Pitcher of the Year in both 2009 and 2010

Against the Redbirds: 2013: 3-2 2012: 8-8 All-time: 128-118 In OKC: 75-45

After getting shutout in season opener, the RedHawks took the next three from Memphis in last weekend's series...Both teams have had it going at the plate, with each hitting over .300 through five games (OKC .329; MEM .306)...Jimmy Paredes is 10-for-19. He hit .361 against the Redbirds last season...Brock Peterson had connected on two homers and driven in eight runs...OKC has not won the season series against Memphis since 2007.

Jake Takes the Cake: Jake Elmore has recorded 14 hits over the last five games, including a pair of game with at least four hits. Elmore has hit safely in each of the last seven games (.533, 16x30), and his .500 average currently ranks seventh in the league. He is 9-for-11 in his last two games against Memphis Last season Elmore recorded a PCL-best 31-game hitting streak and 46-game on-base streak while playing with Reno.

Rockin' Robbie: Robbie Grossman is the only RedHawk to hit safely in each of the team's first eight games and is just one of fourplayers in the PCL to have an active hitting streak of at least eight games. He is tied for second in the league lead with eight walks, second on the team with seven runs, and he currently owns a .472 on-base percentage.

On the Marc: Last night Marc Krauss became the first RedHawk with more than home run this season. Krauss went 2-for-5 and notched his first multi-hit game of the season as well. He recorded just one multi-hit game in 22 contests with the RedHawks last season (8/13 vs. Sacramento).

That's a First: In all eight of the RedHawks games this season, team that's scored first has won.

Two-Out Terrors: Fourteen of the last 17 runs the RedHawks have scored against Memphis have come with two outs. In the first five games of the season series with the Redbirds, 18 of OKC's 31 scored have scored with two outs.

Yard Work: The RedHawks have allowed home runs in three-straight games for the first time since a six-straight stretch, Aug. 5-11, 2012. Brock Peterson's dinger last night was the first three-run homer allowed by the RedHawks since Luis Jimenez of Salt Lake did it on Aug. 7, 2012. (15 total HR allowed since; 12 solo and 2 two-run)

Full of Up-Zeid: Reliever Josh Zeid has gotten off to a strong start during his initial sojourn in Triple-A. Over his first three appearances, Zeid has struck out seven of 11 batters he's faced and thrown three scoreless and hitless innings.

Running Into Trouble: Through the first seven games, the RedHawks have had six base runners picked off and seven others caught stealing. They are 6-for-14 in stolen base attempts.

Winning Trip: The RedHawks finished their road trip earlier this week with a 5-2 record, marking their first winning season-opening road trip since 2004 (6-2 vs. Iowa & Omaha).
