Memphis Redbirds News Release
The Iowa Cubs make their second visit to AutoZone Park for a 4-game series starting Thursday, June 10th. The Cubs are managed by Hall of Fame second baseman, Ryne "Rhino" Sandberg. To recognize the living legend the Memphis Redbirds will hold an enter-to-win drawing for a toy rhino, signed by Sandberg. Not to be outdone, the Memphis Redbirds Manager, Chris "Hammer" Maloney, will also be signing his nickname for the June 10th game. Fans can enter to win the signed rhino and hammer by visiting the FansFirst table behind home plate before the 7th inning on Thursday, June 10th.
The Redbirds continue the homestand on Friday, June 11th with post-game fireworks presented by AT&T. Game time is 7:05pm. Saturday is Faith and Family Night with a post-game Christian concert with recording artists, Rush of Fools. Sunday's afternoon game is Bark in the Ballpark with $1 hot dogs courtesy of King Cotton and a performance by nationally renowned act, Jake the Diamond Dog. Also on Sunday, fans are allowed to bring their dog to the park and sit in a special furry friend section in the picnic pavilion. Memphis Animal Shelter will be on hand with dogs up for adoption.
