TONIGHT: Looking to snap a 2-game losing streak and 5-game home losing skid, the RedHawks host the Memphis Redbirds in the second of a 4-game set. Memphis took last night's game 5-4. The season series is 6-3 OKC. The 5-game home losing streak dates to OKC being swept by Fresno May 15-18 and is the team's longest home slide of the year. The RedHawks are 13-12 at The Brick and 15-11 on the road. In a battle of righthanders, Omar Beltre gets the starting assignment for the RedHawks against Oneli Perez. Each started the season in his team's bullpen. OKC leads the American South by 1.5 games. Memphis 2 games back in the American North.

GOOD THIEVERY: The RedHawks own the base caught stealing percentage (17.2) in the PCL. OKC has swiped 48 bases in 58 tries. The RedHawks are tied with Portland for the second-most stolen bases behind Fresno's 54, but the Grizzlies have been caught 21 times and Portland has 30 caught stealings. The second-best caught stealing percentage belongs to Round Rock and Salt Lake, each going 11-for-46, 23.9.

GARKO HITTING STREAK AT 10: Ryan Garko has hit in 10 straight (12-for-40, .300). The only game where he failed to collect a hit was his OKC debut May 20 at Portland. Garko, who opened the season with Texas before being outrighted, has 2 homers (including the team's only grand slam) and 7 RBIs. Garko sat out last night's game against Memphis.

OTHER STREAK UPDATES: Mitch Moreland had a 5-game hitting streak, which included at least 1 double in each contest, snapped last night. Brandon Boggs went 0-for-3 with a walk, ending his 7-game hitting streak. Gregorio Petit has reached base by hit or walk in 14 straight.

PEN CATCHING STARTERS: Entering the previous homestand on May 11, RedHawks' starters had compiled at 12-4 record and 2.52 ERA for the season, while the bullpen was a collective 6-9 with a 4.87. In the 20 games since, the starters have gone 5-8 and the bullpen 5-2, with the season ERAs now 3.20 for the starters and 3.53 for the relievers. The bullpen has been bolstered by the promotions of Tanner Scheppers, Alexi Ogando and Zach Phillips, while three original rotation members (Derek Holland, Guillermo Moscoso and Brandon McCarthy) have missed significant time with callups or injuries.

BULLPEN BONANZA: Zach Phillips and Alexi Ogando added 3 more scoreless innings out of the bullpen last night. In the past 16 games, OKC's bullpen has worked 57.2 innings, allowing 8 earned runs (1.23 ERA) on 30 hits while going 3-1.

PITCHING: OKC leads the PCL in team ERA at 3.33. Nashville has the second-best mark at 3.53. The RedHawks have allowed the fewest home runs (27) in the league. Fresno is closest with 33. OKC has allowed the fewest earned runs (167) and total runs (196). OKC pitching has the second-most strikeouts (374) behind Sacramento's 403.

DEFENSE: The RedHawks are fourth in the PCL in team fielding percentage (.980) and have committed the fourth-fewest errors (39). The RedHawks are 17-8 when errorless and 11-15 when charged with an error. Second baseman Hernan Iribarren leads PCL second basemen with a .995 fielding percentage, 1 error in 199 total chances.

JENKINS RETURNS: Andy Jenkins was promoted from Double-A Frisco yesterday and went 2-for-3 with 1 RBI, including hits in his first 2 ABs. He hit .239 for Frisco with 4 HR and 11 RBIs in 29 games.

ODDS AND ENDS: Esteban German leads the league lead with 39 runs scored and is second with 19 stolen bases behind Sacramento's Corey Wimberley (21)...yesterday dropped OKC to 5-9 in series openers...Hernan Iribarren, Memphis' Hector Luna and Tacoma's Mike Carp share the league lead with 5 sacrifice flies.
