Colorado Springs Sky Sox News Release
The Colorado Rockies announced today that their closer, Huston Street, is expected to start for the Colorado Springs Sky Sox this Friday, June 4th at Security Service Field as part of his Major League rehab assignment. The relief pitcher is scheduled to throw one inning to start the game before he will be replaced by the regularly scheduled starter for the day. Street has been on the disabled list since Spring Training with a shoulder injury after turning in a standout performance for the Rockies in 2009 converting 35 of 37 saves.
Because Street is only scheduled to pitch one inning, fans are encouraged to arrive early for the game to see Street on the mound. Game time is 7:05 PM and the gates open at 6:00 PM. For ticket and game information visit www.skysox.com or call (719) 597-1449.
