Round Rock Express News Release

ROUND ROCK, Texas - Wednesday night's game between the Round Rock Express and Iowa Cubs at The Dell Diamond was postponed due to inclement weather. It marks just the fourth rainout at The Dell Diamond in the 11-year history of the Round Rock franchise.

The Express (23-29) and Cubs (27-24) will play two seven-inning games Thursday. First pitch of the opener is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. CDT. Tickets for Wednesday's game can be used for any future home date on the Express schedule.

This is the third game between Round Rock and Iowa this season postponed due to inclement weather. Two dates during the teams' series in April at Iowa were affected by rain. That series was shortened to three games with the fourth game to be made up when the Express return to Des Moines in two weeks.

Left-hander Andy Van Hekken (2-3, 3.97 ERA) is scheduled to start the first game for the Express, while southpaw J.R. Mathes (4-4, 5.40 ERA) is slated to toe the rubber for the Cubs.
