GAME NOTES:

-THE LEAD: The Red Wings smacked three home runs and overcame a four-run deficit to beat the IronPigs for a third straight game, 8-7, Wednesday night in a seven-inning affair at Frontier Field. Shairon Martis nailed down just his second career save and first since the 2005 season by tossing two perfect innings including striking out the side in the top of the 7th.

-The Wings have now won three straight games for the first time since a season-long four-game streak April 24-27... After taking the first three of this four-game set, Rochester has now won just their second series of the season. Their other series victory came at Syracuse April 23-26... The Wings will have a chance for their first four-game sweep since August 2-5, 2012 and first at Frontier Field since July 12-15, 2012. Both of those sweeps came against Toledo.

-The newest Red Wing Dan Rohlfing, making his Triple-A debut, hit a game-tying, solo home run in his first Triple-A at-bat after walking in his first plate appearance. The homer was just the 7th of his career and first above the single-A level. His last long ball came over a year ago on April 14, 2012 with Ft. Myers (A)... Rohlfing joins Oswaldo Arcia, Chris Colabello and Nate Hanson as Red Wings to homer in their Triple-A debut's this season.

-Doug Bernier hit a towering two-run homer to straight away centerfield in the 2nd inning. The homer was just the 3rd of his International League career in 1,041 AB's but his second of the season with Rochester. His first homer of the season on May 15 vs Durham was his first since June 22, 2010 with Indianapolis.

-Clete Thomas finished 2-for-4 with a double, home run and 3 RBI. He now has 8 home runs in 106 AB's this season after hitting a career-high 13 home runs last season in 421 AB's between Minnesota and Rochester.
