Red Wings Announce Triple-A All Star Candidates

(Rochester, NY) -- Fan voting for the 2013 Triple-A All-Star Game begins today, Wednesday, May 29, and runs through Wednesday, June 26, Triple-A Baseball and MLB Advanced Media announced today. The All-Star Game will be held on July 17 at Aces Ballpark in Reno, NV and will pit the top players in the International League against the All-Stars from the Pacific Coast League.

Fan balloting will account for one-third of the total vote along with ballots cast by members of the media and each club's field manager, coaches, and general manager. Using MLBAM online voting services, fans will be able to access the ballots at RedWingsBaseball.com. All eligible voters will receive a five-day free preview of MiLB.TV after they cast their ballots. Once again this year fans will also be able to share links to their online ballots through Facebook and Twitter to encourage friends and followers to cast votes for their favorite Red Wings players.

Red Wings fans will find the following 13 Wings players on the official online ballot:

C - Chris Herrmann

1B - Chris Colabello

2B - Eric Farris

SS - Doug Bernier

3B - Ray Olmedo

OF - Evan Bigley, Clete Thomas

DH - Jeff Clement

SP - Andre Albers, Kyle Gibson, P.J. Walters

RP - Luis Perdomo, Tyler Robertson

Fans will also have the ability to write-in players not listed on the ballot, like OF Oswaldo Arcia and LHP Caleb Thielbar.

The 26th annual Triple-A All-Star Game will be broadcast live from Reno on Wednesday, July 17th on MLB Network as well as MiLB.TV online.
