Red Hot Hockey Action Back For The New Year At Boardwalk Hall In Atlantic City

Atlantic City, NJ - With the arrival of the new year, hockey in A.C. is heating up. Come watch future NHL stars and up-and-coming New Jersey Devils prospects with Devils hockey at Boardwalk Hall. The New Jersey Devils development squad, the AHL's Albany Devils, take to the ice for three more exciting games at Boardwalk Hall this winter. Their ECHL team, the Trenton Devils, will play one game on Boardwalk Hall's ice Sunday, January 23.

Individual ticket prices are $26 for first two rows on the glass, $21 for the lower bowl and $16 for the upper bowl. A 4-pack for the upper bowl at $65 includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs & 4 sodas, and must be purchased in advance. JANUARY 23

The series that began December 5 with the Albany Devils defeating the Adirondack Phantoms continues Sunday, January 23, pitting the Trenton Devils against the Wheeling Nailers (AA affiliate to the NHL's Pittsburgh Penguins) at 4PM. With admission to this game you can enter to win a 4-night getaway to the Gran Caribe Real Resort Cancun, courtesy of Berman Travel. This great vacation also includes two round trip airline tickets on AirTran Airways. For your intermission entertainment enjoy Mites on Ice (squirt divisions) with the Atlantic City Sharks playing the Brick. Hockey Club. Watch as these youngsters have some fun on the ice. Also during intermission try your luck at Chuck A Puck.

Before the start of the game, fans will have an opportunity to meet NJ Devils alumni Grant Marshall. A former right winger,

Marshall is an inspiration to everyone with his remarkable story of recovery from a severe neck injury he suffered while playing junior hockey. Not only did he return to play hockey, but he became a two-time Stanley Cup Champion in the National Hockey League. Make sure to get here early to meet Grant in person and get his autograph. Doors open at 3 PM.

FEBRUARY 4

On Friday, February 4, don't miss this exciting double header! Check out the Albany Devils as they take to the ice against the Hershey Bears (AAA's affiliate to the NHL's Washington Capitals) beginning at 7 PM.

Be sure to come hungry for Dollar Dog Night. Dietz & Watson hot dogs are only $1 all night long with no limit. Intermission activities include the popular Chuck A Puck promotion. Immediately following the Devils game Stockton College CHA Division III Ospreys will challenge Rowan University ACHA Division II Profs. Reduced admission prices are only $9 for students with their college ID and are available at the box office. The February 4 ticket includes admission to both games.

FEBRUARY 7

Come out February 7 for the Albany Devils vs. Wilkes-Barre/ Scranton Penguins (AAA affiliate to the Pittsburgh Penguins) game at 7 PM. Check out area kids having a devil of a time trying to score a goal to Beat Pete, NBC News Channel 40's Sports Director Pete Thompson. If he/she gets a puck into the goal they will win tickets to the Saturday, March 19 ECAC Hockey Men's Championship at Boardwalk Hall. Throughout the night, there will be lucky seat winners selected for the "You Little Devil" promotion. The grand prize is a two night stay at Caesars Atlantic City during Heart weekend 02/12-02/13. This package also includes a food credit, access to DUSK nightclub and Qua Spa Roman baths. This game was originally scheduled for December 12, and all tickets for that game will be honored at the door.

FEBRUARY 27

Sunday, February 27 features the last game of the series with the Albany Devils taking on the Norfolk Admirals (AAA affiliate to the NHL's Tampa Bay Lightning). Atlantic City Restaurant Week gift certificates will be given away throughout the night to lucky winners.

A free public skate will be offered to all February 27 ticket holders following the conclusion of the game. All guests must bring their own ice skates. The public skate will last approximately one hour.

For affordable and easy parking head straight to Boardwalk Hall's secure garage. The garage is located at the end of Mississippi Ave. and the Boardwalk. Take the ramp down into the tunnel and make your first right. Parking can be pre-purchased through Ticketmaster at a rate of $10 per game. Parking for the day of the event is $8, and is based on availability. There are options to get to Boardwalk Hall for those not driving.

There is also frequent bus/motorcoach service from New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, DC via all major carriers, including Academy, Greyhound, Shoreline Express and NJ Transit. Passenger jitneys move the entire length of Pacific Avenue, parallel to Atlantic City's Boardwalk, to the Marina District and to the Convention Center.
