Fallon, Wranglers Blank Aces 4-0

Joe Fallon made 20 saves on as many shots, becoming the first goaltender to shut out the Alaska Aces in a 4-0 Las Vegas Wranglers win at the Orleans Arena on Tuesday night. The Aces fell to 21-14-2 on the year, and their winless five-game road trip came to a close. The Aces will now head back to Alaska where they prepare to host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday and Saturday night. Playing with a shortened bench due to injuries, the Aces again found themselves in an early hole. Greg Collins scored the first of two first period goals on the Wranglers first shot 1:09 into the hockey game. He added a power play goal at 10:45 to give Las Vegas a 2-0 lead after one period.

Las Vegas extended their lead to 3-0 when Jonathan Milhousecame away from the left corner with the puck and cut through the low slot, beating Adam Courchaine at 7:39 of

the second period. Blake Gallagher capped the scoring in the third after he scored from the slot, following an Aces misplay on the puck behind their net.

Adam Courchaine (5-5-1) made 19 saves on 23 shots, taking the loss. Joe Fallon (12-7-1) earned the win, and his second shutout of the year, making 20 saves on 20 shots. The Aces power play went 0-5, while the Wranglers went 1-4. The Aces were outshot by the Wranglers 23-20 in the game.

The Aces begin a five-game home stand when they host the Victoria Salmon Kings on Friday and Saturday night at 7:15pm. Tickets are available for both games. Fans can visit the Aces at their Facebook page for more information, or call the Aces at 907.258.ACES.
