RED DEER, AB - Jesse Wallin, Vice-President of Hockey Operations/Head Coach of the Red Deer Rebels Hockey Club, announced today that they have acquired defenceman Simon Witt from the Vancouver Giants in exchange for the Rebels 3rd round selection in the 2011 Western Hockey League Bantam Draft.
Witt was a 5th round pick of the Giants in the 2007 WHL Bantam Draft, and had played 5 pre-season games with the Giants this year.
